About

Timberon: the mountain town that time politely skipped

An hour up a scenic canyon road from Cloudcroft, at the quiet end of the Sacramento Mountains.

The forested village of Timberon from above

Timberon started life as a sprawling mountain ranch and became a village of cabins scattered through the ponderosas — a few hundred full-timers, a lot of weekenders, and more elk than either. There's a lodge, a grill with cold beer, two stocked fishing lakes, a little golf course, and a sky so dark the Milky Way throws shadows.

It's genuinely remote — that's the feature, not the bug. You come up the Sacramento River canyon road, your phone gives up (Wi-Fi calling works fine in town), and about ten minutes later you notice your shoulders have dropped two inches.

Wiklund Properties LLC is a small family land company that has been buying, holding, and selling Timberon lots for years. We sell the way we'd want to buy: honest descriptions, fair prices, owner financing on a plain New Mexico contract, and a neutral escrow company holding the paperwork. No pressure, no land-flipper theatrics.
